How Do I Submit an Article


  • How Do I Submit an Article?
  • First you must have registered with the site
  • Secondly you must have been granted access by the site administrator to add content
  • Adding content is reserved ONLY for those folks who are members of the extended Austin-Carr clan
  • Next make sure that you have signed on to the site
  • Once you have signed on a User Menu will appear in the lower left margin area
  • One of the options is Submit an Article 
  • Clicking this hyperlink opens up the Submit an Article page
  • Give your article a title
  • Either type the article in the text editor that is present on the page or paste the information created in your favorite editor into this editor.
  • Make sure it is formatted the way you want
  • Below the editor box are a couple drop down boxes
    • Section is the main category you want the article to appear in… i.e. Family News, Family Stories, etc
    • Category is a subsection of the main category. It is dependent on what you selected previous. If you selected Family Stories it might be something like Sister Juanita, General, etc
  • Meta Data Boxes control how search engines (Google, etc) find information on the web
    • The important box is Keywords. Enter the words or phrases you would put into a search engine to find this article. Separate each word or phrase by a comma.
    • This step is NOT mandatory.  Do so only if you wish to optimize search engine hits
  • DO NOT forget to click the save button.
  • Your article will not appear until it has been approved by the site administrator
  • Site administrator is not editing content. The approval process is there to prevent spammers from overtaking the site.
